First things first, I can’t believe we’re already a month into 2018! I think it may just be because I’m getting older, or the fact that I’m in college, but time has been seriously flying by.
At the end of every month, when I look back, it just seems like it was such a whirlwind! This past month hasn’t been any different. It’s been surreal to experience and see so much change happening, and I’m looking forward to what’s coming next. Being a college student and seeing my peers taking stands for what they believe in – I feel so proud. With everything coming out about Larry Nassar, and the beautiful and brave women taking a stand, I’m encouraged by the show of love and support amongst classmates that I’ve witnessed these past couple of weeks.
Years later, I find this quote by Anne Frank so pure and so relevant: “People can tell you to keep your mouth shut, but it doesn’t stop you having your own opinions. Even if people are still very young, they shouldn’t be prevented from saying what they think…At such moments I don’t think about all the misery, but about the beauty that still remains…Go outside, to the country, enjoy the sun and all nature has to offer. Go outside and try to recapture the happiness within yourself; think of all the beauty in yourself and in everything around you and be happy.”
I also wanted to include this article that highlights some of Judge Rosemarie Aquilina’s best words during the trial. (Linked on the words “this article”)
My favorite quote among them is this: “Leave your pain here and go out and do your magnificent things.”
Here’s to a new start in a new month – I hope yours is fantastic.
In other – lighter – news, I wanted to share with you two of my favorite trends at the moment: striped pants and fuzzy jackets! Being from Michigan, I’m so happy that big fuzzy jackets have been the new trend. They’re so00 cozy.
Both the jacket and pants that I’m wearing from Forever 21, which I linked below. The pants are seriously more comfortable than leggings, and they’re less than $20! I can’t get enough of them.
That’s all for today! If you want to check out my current favorites, click here! I have several new posts and collaboration I can’t wait to begin sharing with you, so stay tuned! (If you’re feeling it, you can subscribe so you don’t miss any notifications of new posts 🙂 )
