When I was getting ready to take photos for this post, I realized the clothes I had picked out just weren’t me. I’m most confident in clothes that I feel comfortable in, with my hair tied up and out of the way. This outfit is truly my summer style – comfortable, cute, and versatile.
From spending my last 8 years in the Upper Peninsula, I’ve become accustomed to cold weather. I am NOT a person who likes the heat. Mild weather and sweaters, please! However, t-shirt dresses are making their way up there on my list of favorite pieces.
This little dress is perfect because it keeps me comfortable, but it’s dressier than a normal pair of shorts. You can wear it over a swimsuit to the beach, but you can also throw it on with some cute shoes and jewelry and head out to dinner. I picked up mine from American Eagle, and you can find a similar one here.
I decided to pair it with this bralette from Aerie! (P.S., It’s on sale right now!) It’s perfect for summertime, and adds some detail to the dress’ wider neckline.
All the jewelry I’m wearing is from local stores! (Except for the thin silver ring- that one is from a place called “Mom’s Dresser.”) You can find a similar spoon ring at Revisions. My U.P. necklace was a birthday gift, and you can find it at Richardson’s. It’s my favorite piece I own- when I’m away at school, I get to take a little bit of Marquette with me!
My bag is by Steve Madden, but I actually picked it up from TJ Maxx for around $20! I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on this thing. It’s the perfect size to just grab and go, and the color goes with anything.
For shoes, I chose my trusty ole’ Birkenstocks! These things are my lifeline. I wear them with anything, and I’ve yet to find a comfier shoe.
